You MUST register online for the Parade, you will receive an email to let you know if you have been selected. If selected to march in the Parade you will be sent a 6ABC/Thanksgiving Day Parade VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT OF RELEASE
You MUST have one filled out and signed by each participant, youth and adult.
The Cradle of Liberty Council is honored to have 150 Scouts and Scouters march in the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade. Please only register the number of Scouts & Scouters that have made a commitment to attend. We will be carrying Banners in front of Floats and Balloons, collecting food along the parade route and manning the Acme Float and NEED all that are registered in attendance. You will be assigned to one of these areas on the morning of the Parade.
All Participants, Youth and Adult MUST be in FULL SCOUT UNIFORM! (after all you’ll be seen on TV!)
Must be age 10 or older to march in the Parade
You must register online to participate in the parade.
- FULL UNIFORM IS:
- Long sleeve shirt, (please wear long underwear under the Scout Uniform because jackets cannot be worn). or
- Short Sleeve Shirt with a sweatshirt under it.
- Boy Scouts- red sweatshirt
- Cub Scouts- blue sweatshirt
- Venturers- green sweatshirt
- Long Scout Pants.
- Hiking type boots:
(NO SNEAKERS OF ANY COLOR)
- A Pair of warm GLOVES
- Remember to Dress for weather conditions.
Unit flags are not necessary as we will march as one family-
“The Boy Scouts of America”!
ONLY SCOUTS AND SCOUTERS IN UNIFORM WILL BE PERMITTED TO MARCH
Anyone not in FULL Uniform is welcome to follow the Scouts on the sidewalk, anyone not in FULL Uniform is NOT permitted to be in the street along the parade route.
If selected to march in the parade you must report to Scout Personnel
no later than 7:00 a.m., at 20th Street and John F. Kennedy (JFK) Boulevard
