The Cradle of Liberty Council is a volunteer-driven organization providing formative, age-appropriate experiences to young people from every community throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. Scouting is designed to foster learning, team building, resilience and personal responsibility. The council is welcoming and accessible to all youth and their families regardless of interests and abilities.

In Scouting, we will not compromise the safety of our youth, volunteers, and employees. Safety is a value that must be taught and reinforced at every opportunity. We are all responsible and must hold each other accountable to provide a safe environment for all participants.

The Cradle of Liberty Council offers safe, fun and affordable summer camp programs for boys and girls ages 5 through 17.

Effective in March and April, there are some changes to registration fees, as well as a waiting period for new adult volunteers.

Significant improvements are being made to the Cub Scout program effective June 1, 2024 to ensure it’s fun, simple and easy to deliver. 

Sharpen your leadership, communication and strategic planning skills by registering for this internationally recognized Scouting leadership training being held at Camp Hart in May and June.

Save the dates for the 2024 Merit Badge College: March 16 & April 20 at Elkins Park Middle School in Cheltenham. Registration is now open.

We’re proud that Scouting is more inclusive than it’s ever been. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee has developed resources to assist Scouting units in being welcoming to all.
