Scouting for Food is one of nation's largest food drives that Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers participate in to support their local food pantries and hunger-relief agencies.
The Scouts of the Cradle of Liberty Council have continuously exceeded expectations and fully stocked dozens of our partner agencies with bags and bags of canned food.
Check here for updates on this year's Scouting for Food campaign and learn how you can contribute.
Each holiday season, Scouts in Greater Philadelphia volunteer thousands of hours of service by conducting one of the largest food drives in the area. This collaborative effort involves 6abc WPVI-TV, Philabundance, several local Scout councils, dozens of food pantries, hundreds of area businesses, and thousands of generous citizens. Scouts collected more than 275,000 pounds of food through last year’s effort.
The third point of the Scout Law is that a Scout is Helpful. Scouting for Food is an opportunity for Scouts to fulfil their promise and help ensure that no person goes hungry this holiday season.
