Planning has already begun for our Popcorn Fundraiser this Fall, and everything your Unit needs to know will be explained when you attend one of Philadelphia County’s TWO available Popcorn Trainings: August 3 or August 6! Click here for more information.
For those new to selling popcorn or interested here are a few quick facts:
70% of the purchase price goes back to Scouting! 35% to the Unit, and 35% to provide prizes, and handle expenses, with remaining profits going right into services for our camps, trainings, camperships, etc.
There is no upfront money/risk, popcorn is ordered online, and prizes are shipped right to your home; it couldn’t be easier!
The top-selling Unit in Frontier in 2010 made $6,678.00 for their Unit!! The second highest-selling made over $4,000.00!!
There are other great rewards and prizes for top selling Scouts like Amazon and Wal-Mart gift cards, and this year’s $600 club prize, the Zyclone!
And how’s this for investing in your Scout’s future: Trail’s End (the popcorn company) will create a College Scholarship account for Scouts who sell at least $2,500 and will contribute 6% of their Popcorn sales each year for their entire Scouting Career!
Talk about “A Scout is Thrifty!”
Please reach out to me with any questions about the Popcorn Fundraiser, and most importantly make sure someone from your Unit comes to a Popcorn Training on August 3 or August 6! RSVP to Brian or Dom so that we know you’ll be there!
