An Invitation to Scouting
Cradle of Liberty Council
Boy Scouts of America
To plan and operate a display of exhibits and hands on activities designed to promote interest in the Scouting Programs. The display needs to be flexible enough to quickly assemble, dis-assemble, and store between presentations. It should be available for display, with attendants, at community days in Pottstown, New Hanover Township, and the Upper Perkiomen Valley. It needs to be ready for display at the fall, 2014 events in these locations.
The display will be designed by a team of volunteers – adult and youth – who will meet periodically to brainstorm and plan the details. There should be items to attract the attention of both youth and parents,. The display should include information literature about Scouting involvement, history, etc., samples of Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing seasonal activities, (Klondike Derby Sleds, Pinewood Derby cars, etc.), demonstrations of Scout centered skills, (First Aid, Pioneering, Survival, etc.), Hands-on activities for visitors – both adult and youth,
