Scout Reservations
Cradle of Liberty Council is proud to provide two great facilities for the ultimate outdoor experience in Eastern Pennsylvania: Resica Falls Scout Reservation and Musser Scout Reservation.
Whether summer camping for a week to earn merit badges, or weekend camping as a Cub Scout Pack, our facilities offer a top-notch experience.
Resica Falls Scout Reservation
Situated in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Resica Falls Scout Reservation is a 4200+ acre Scouting Paradise. Set in what seems like an endless track of mountain trails, clear streams, and waterfalls is an amazing program of activities for Scouts to enjoy for their summer camp experience.
Founded in 1957 by a joint effort between the Valley Forge and Philadelphia Councils to create a huge parcel of land for scouts to use for generations to come. Although the Valley Forge Council would become the sole propreitior of the property in 1965, these same two councils would merge in 1996 creating the Cradle of Liberty Council where Scouts from Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties would once again find themselves stewards of this wilderness treasure. The Council would later enter into a land trust agreement preserving the property forever as an undeveloped forest for Scouting use. In 2007, Resica Falls celebrated its 50th summer season of scout camping. Since its founding, tens of thousands of Scouts have enjoyed an experience among the hidden natural treasures creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Musser Scout Reservation
The Musser Scout Reservation is located along the Unami Creek on over 1,400 acres of Marlborough Township, Pennsylvania. It is part of the largest contiguous forest in Southeastern Pennsylvania. It now includes Camp Hart, Camp Delmont and Camp Garrison.
The Cradle of Liberty Council, Natural Lands Trust, Montgomery County Lands Trust and Montgomery County signed a conservation easement permanently protecting over 1,200 acres of the Musser Scout Reservation. The easement is a perpetual, legally binding agreement to remove certain rights from the property owner. The effect of conservation easements is to provide permanent protection from future development while leaving the land in private ownership.
Please note the following date changes for the Council Camping Committee:

Camp Rental Policy for Scouting Groups, Districts, and Council
Written by Brian Bauer
Over the past few months, Camping Committee members at both the District and Council levels have worked to approve the following Camp Rental Policy for Scouting Groups, effective immediately. Please refer to it as your Scouting group, District, or Council event plans any weekend events in the future. Direct questions to the COL Camping Department.
The volunteers who worked to bring us the June 2, 2012 "Cub Scout Bull'seye Shootout" and June 16, 2012 "Rod & Reel Fishing Derby" have JOINED FORCES. They listened to your suggestions and are excited for an even better event this year.
We are pleased to announce another opportunity to enjoy a fun day of Cub Scout programming at Camp Hart! Join us either June 15 OR June 16, 2013. Scouts will have a TON of fun learning fishing fundamentals, trying their luck on our lake, experiencing fish cooked over a campfire, AND shooting BB guns, bow and arrow, and slingshots. This will be a great event for Scouts who want to spend a day outdoors with family over Father's Day Weekend!
Registration will go live on this article on April 1, 2013. Each day is limited to 250 Scouts participating. Scouts must attend as part of a group and be accompanied by adults throughout the event. Scout fee is $20 and adults/siblings pay $5.
