Olympia SCOPE Overview

May 16, 2013 to May 20, 2013

To Baden Powell District and others regarding "Olympia SCOPE", International Scouting Exchange between Baden Powell district Scouts and Scouters and the Brampton Ontario Scouting area:

This event began in 1967 as an exchange of Scouting family between Baden Powell District, Valley Forge Council and The Brampton Area Scouting District in Ontario Canada.

Having reached our 45th anniversary the program grew, by invitation, to other units in the States and to other towns in Ontario in the Greater Toronto Area.

The event began in 1967 with an invitation by Baden Powell District to Brampton Area Scouting to visit with Baden Powell District Scouting in the states.  It was followed up with an invitation for the Americans to come to Canada and visit there. After each two years rotation we would skip three years and begin again with the program.

The program includes home hospitality, camping, touring of another country and amazing, awesome fellowship.

To continue the tradition we have invited the Canadian's to arrive at the host families on Thursday 5/16/2013, going camping for the weekend, back to family on Sunday morning and returning to Canada on Monday 5/20/2013.

This is a great opportunity to do something that few Scouts and Scouters get to experience.  Don't miss out!!  Get your fees in soon to reserve a spot.
